It is with great sadness that West Cork Music announces the death of Ulrike Crespo. She had for decades been an extremely generous supporter and close friend of our chamber music Festival and all who worked here. Indeed it is doubtful whether the Festival would have survived the dark days of the Recession without her advice and support. For several years now the series of afternoon concerts in the Festival has been named the Crespo Series in recognition of her unstinted generosity.

Her love of music also saw her support the wonderfully named Chamber Music Connects the World festival in Kronberg. Her presence at our concerts was a measure of her belief in what West Cork Music is trying to achieve.

She will be sorely missed by all of us.
