The official launch of READ ON in Ireland took place on 9 April by Orlaith McBride, director of the Arts Council.

There was a great attendance from a wide audience of artists, teachers, librarians, policitians and project partners.  Speakers noted the importance of  getting young people to read and of collaboration on a local, national and European level.
