Job Title: Production Manager, West Cork Music
West Cork Music delivers 3 Festivals during the summer period. Events take place in Bantry and its surrounding areas.
Festival Dates: Chamber Music Festival – 24 June – 3 July
Literary Festival – 8-15 July
Masters of Tradition – 24 -28 August
In this role, you will manage and be responsible for the practical elements venue planning, set up and smooth operations of all the venues and locations used for events during all three West Cork Music Festivals.
Requirements:
- Good planning, organisational and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated experience of working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Experience of production management of events
- Experience working with, and ideally leading, a team
- Reliability and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of sound/lighting equipment set-up and use
- Own vehicle would be required or full driving licence
Key Tasks:
- Liaise with Festival Manager for venue preparation in the set-up of multiple concert / rehearsal spaces
- Venue setup / takedown – stage / lighting / seating / music stands / Bar setup
- Pre-Festival check of equipment inventory
- Managing and co-ordinating a small production team
- Become familiar with particulars of each venue e.g. alarms, services on site etc
- Health and Safety and Fire Safety qualifications to ensure safe working environment
- Maintenance of venues during Festival period
- Site preparation in advance – signage / lighting / structural
- Provide continued oversight of rehearsal spaces and all venues during each festival
- Liaise with festival partners before the festival as to their requirements e.g exhibitions space, access to services for broadcast.
- Account for all production related expenditure
