This two-hour session will introduce fundamental performance techniques that writers can use to elevate their work with an emphasis on storytelling and dialogue; explore the relationship between body, voice, and narrative expression; provide hands-on exercises to help you develop confidence in public reading and performance; foster a creative space where you can experiment with your work in a dynamic, supportive environment. We will also discuss how performance skills can enhance storytelling across different mediums (spoken word, readings, theatre, presentations).

Performance Is A Verb is a transformative experience that empowers writers and communicators to embody their words with confidence and presence. By embracing performance techniques, you will gain tools to make your work resonate more powerfully, whether giving a reading, on stage, in a classroom, or in everyday interactions.
