50. Coffee Concert

Emmanuelle Bertrand completes her journey through Bach’s six Cello Suites. She begins her second recital with the darkness of the D minor Suite, whose hesitant and sombre Prelude eventually opens up to let in flashes of light. The C major and D major Suites that follow both glow with the energy of a master at the height of his powers.
