Follow a vibrant culture trail across Bantry, weaving in music, crafts and dance on Culture Night 2024 (20th September).
The evening’s highlight will be a concert in St. Brendan’s Church in the West Cork harbour town, where writers and musicians will respond creatively to the theme of rhythm.
All events are FREE admission, however the concert and the Knit & Stitch Social Evening require booking as places are limited. See booking link buttons below.

Join us for a concert in St Brendan’s Church where we will showcase the artistic traditions Bantry celebrates across the three festivals West Cork Music hosts over six weeks each summer – the West Cork Chamber Music Festival, the West Cork Literary Festival, and Masters of Tradition.
Featuring:
• Café Cork Flute Ensemble – Based at Cork School of Music, this ensemble is made up of enthusiastic amateur and professional flautists who perform a wide variety of classical, modern, and popular music on all types of flute from the piccolo to the contrabass.
• Leeanne O’Donnell – Leeanne started her storytelling career working in radio with RTÉ and BBC, and she has made a number of award-winning radio documentaries. She wrote her first novel, Sparks of Bright Matter, from her home on the foothills of a mountain in West Cork.
• Oisín Morrison and friends – A talented harper, flute player and composer from Dublin, Oisín has been recognised with various awards, including the prestigious Bonn Óir Sheáin Uí Riada. He will be joined by friends at the Culture Night concert to explore rhythm through the medium of Irish traditional music.
