Louise Tchalik, Gabriel Tchalik [violin], Sarah Tchalik [viola], Marc Tchalik [cello]
The Paris-based Quatuor Tchalik is notable not least because its members are four siblings. Raised in a Russian-French family with Ukrainian roots, in which music played a central role, they have been making music together since their earliest childhood. This early and intimate contact with chamber music has allowed the four young musicians to develop their own, entirely natural approach to expressive and versatile quartet playing, creating an extraordinary artistic connection between them.
The instruments played by the members of the quartet are exclusively made for them by violin maker Philippe Mitéran and bow-maker Konstantin Cheptitski. Since 2024 the quartet also plays four classical bows by Jean-Yves Tanguy.
“The quartet’s playing is characterised by an undeniable ardour, but also by an energy that is always kept in check in the interest of balance, brilliance and intensity.”

“Style, interaction, an approach suffused with a sense of humanity: Quatuor Tchalik’s performances bear the signature of one of the great French quartets of the new generation!”
