Sasha de Buyl

Sasha de Buyl writes short stories and creative non-fiction. Their work has been published in Gutter, Belfield Literary Review and The Stinging Fly among others. In 2023, they were awarded an Arts Council of Ireland Bursary for Literature. They are currently undertaking a DFA in Writing at the University of Glasgow. Prior to this, they were a literature programmer at organisations including International Literature Festival Dublin, StAnza, Scotland’s International Poetry Festival, Aye Write Book Festival, Scottish Book Trust and Cúirt Festival of Literature, where they were Director. They are a trustee of GAZE: Dublin’s International LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, and a founding member of the University of Glasgow Trans Studies Network.
