Sarah Long is an artist and writer based in Cork. Her work focuses on suppressed female archetypes, the politics of representation, nationhood, and myth through the lens of feminism. Sarah creates autofiction that she translates across painting, sound, moving image, performance and publication. In 2022, she graduated from Glasgow School of Art with a Masters of Letters in Art Writing and received the John Calcutt Critical Writing Prize. In 2023, she was awarded the inaugural Critic-in-Residence at Sirius Arts Centre. Her debut book W/w was published by Bloomers in 2024.
