Paddy O’Brien

Paddy O’Brien is one of the three Storytellers in Residence for the West Cork islands in 2025. He specializes in traditional Irish folklore, seanchaí-style stories, Irish poetry, and ballads, both in English and Irish (as Gaeilge). A twice All-Ireland champion storyteller (Scór-GAA) and All-Ireland champion (Slógadh-Gael Linn), Paddy has also presented storytelling on RTÉ’s Dilín Ó Deamhas. He is a founding member of Cork Yarnspinners Storytelling and an organizing committee member of the Cape Clear International Storytelling Festival.
