Claire Hennessy is a writer, editor and creative writing facilitator from Dublin. Best known as an author and reviewer of young adult fiction, she has also published short fiction and poetry in various anthologies and literary journals, including The Moth, The Lonely Crowd, ROPES, Crannóg, Southword and Necessary Fiction. Her short stories have won the Doolin Short Story Prize (Ireland, 2015) and the Virginia Faulkner Award (USA, 2022). She is the recipient of three Arts Council bursaries and holds M.Phil. degrees from TCD in Creative Writing and Popular Literature. Her debut collection of short stories In the Movie of Her Life is published by Doire Press in April 2025.
