Anna Ryan Moloney

Anna Ryan Moloney is author of Where Land Meets Sea: Coastal Explorations of Landscape, Representation and Spatial Experience (Routledge 2016). Her story ‘Holding’ was Highly Commended in the Bryan MacMahon Short Story Award at Listowel Writers’ Week 2024. She has published creative non-fiction, academic and review essays in Writing Place journal for Architecture and Literature, Building Material, Architecture Ireland and fiction in The Ogham Stone. She has contributed essays and research chapters to The Coastal Atlas of Ireland (Cork University Press 2021), Dreams (Irish Academic Press 2023), Repository of Methods (nai010 2023), and Infra-Éireann: Infrastructure and the Architecture of Modernity in Ireland 1916-2016 (Ashgate 2015). She holds a B.Arch. from University College Dublin, a PhD in Cultural Geography from University College Cork and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Limerick. She is Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Product Design at the University of Limerick. Anna will take part in an event around The Coastal Atlas of Ireland to mark the 100th anniversary of Cork University Press
