Alan Hollinghurst

Alan Hollinghurst is the author of six previous novels, The Swimming-Pool Library, The Folding Star, The Spell, The Line of Beauty (winner of the 2004 Man Booker Prize), The Stranger’s Child and The Sparsholt Affair. He was awarded a knighthood in the 2025 New Year’s Honours list for services to literature. His latest novel Our Evenings was published by Picador in October 2024 and became an instant Sunday Times Bestseller. It was a ‘Book of the Year’ for the Guardian, Observer, The Times, Daily Express, The Spectator, Financial Times, Daily Telegraph and New Statesman. Alan lives in London.
