Evelyn Grant

Evelyn Grant presents Weekend Drive on RTÉ Lyric FM. A member of a well-known musical family from Dublin, she studied flute in Germany before taking a post at the Cork School of Music. She has been involved in outreach projects for over 30 years, and was the first Irish person to receive a Master’s Degree in Community Music (University of York). She was awarded a PhD from UCC for her research on Social Inclusion in Music Education in Ireland. For RTÉ Lyric FM, she researched and presented a 6 part documentary series entitled Passions and Policies – Music Education in Ireland. She enjoys a busy career as a broadcaster, performer, adjudicator and educator. She has been a regular supporter, attendee and interviewer for the West Cork Chamber Music Festival.
