Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick

Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick is an award- winning author and illustrator. She has won four CBI (Children’s Books Ireland) Book of the Year Awards and has been nominated for a CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal which is awarded by children’s librarians for an outstanding book in terms of illustration for children and young people. Her books include The Sleeping Giant, Izzy and the Skunk, Hagwitch, There and Owl Bat Bat Owl. Her YA novel On Midnight Beach was published by Faber in 2020 and was shortlisted for the 2021 CILIP Carnegie Medal which is awarded by children’s librarians for an outstanding book written in English for children and young people.
