Aoife Lyall is an Irish poet who was born and raised in Dublin and is now living in the Scottish Highlands. Shortlisted for the Hennessy New Writing Awards in 2016 and 2018, her work has appeared in Acumen, Banshee Lit, The Irish Times, Magma, Poetry Ireland Review, and Under the Radar, among others. She was longlisted for the inaugural Rebecca Swift Foundation Women Poets’ Prize in 2018. Her debut collection Mother, Nature was published by Bloodaxe Books in February 2021 and explores the tragic and tender experiences of pregnancy and early motherhood.
