Activate Youth Theatre

Activate Youth Theatre was established 21 years ago in the old Graffiti Theatre premises in 50 Pope’s Quay, Cork.  Since then it has gained a reputation as a vibrant energetic breeding ground for young actors and for the development of interesting new work, both scripted and devised.  It delivers, through weekly drama workshops, a unique creative experience, which promotes artistic and social development, which serves the young people at its heart.  All members take part in a programme of workshops which include acting skills, physical theatre, script writing, snatch comedy and devising.

For the past 10 years we have had access to the studio and theatre in Graffiti’s current premises in Blackpool, Cork and members have been involved in  one major production  and several minor ones annually.  Many of our members have gone on to pursue a career in the theatre and have studied in Trinity College, U.C.C., R.A.D.A., and the Gaiety School of Acting.
